AI Receptionist · Dentistsby Tactly

The front desk can't always pick up

Checking a patient in, taking a payment, walking someone to a chair: that is when the phone rings. The AI Receptionist answers the calls your team misses and after hours, so new patients reach a booking instead of voicemail.

7-day free trial with 30 minutes included. Card on file, cancel anytime.

Already a client? Add Tactly from your 1Digital client portal or your WorkspaceCMS dashboard so everything stays on one account.

Try it live: call (305) 928-1811. Our AI receptionist answers our own line.

Illustration with example data
The short version: the receptionist picks up when your front desk cannot. It tells callers it is a virtual assistant, answers routine questions like hours and location from your notes, books open times on your calendar, and takes a message for anything clinical. Every call is emailed to the practice with a transcript.

Built around a busy practice

What it handles for a dental office

New patient calls

Someone looking for a dentist rarely leaves a voicemail. The receptionist answers and offers an open time for their first visit.

The questions you hear every day

Hours, parking, where you are and which services you offer, answered from the notes you write.

No clinical advice

It does not diagnose or advise. A patient describing a problem gets a message taken with a confirmed callback number, and an emergency is told to call 911.

Lunch hour and after hours

Choose missed calls only, after hours only, or both, so it covers the moments your desk is short-handed.

    6. Caller: Yeah, it's Dev. Dev Patel.

On a WorkspaceCMS Essentials website plan it cannot book appointments; booking by phone needs Growth or above. Extra charges outside the plan: each phone number outside the US (Mexico, Spain or Latin America) is $10 a month on top of your plan and takes calls only; it cannot send texts. Your US local number, and texting on it, are included in every plan with no extra fee.

Common questions

Can it answer questions about treatments?
Only general information you put in its notes, like which services you offer. It does not give clinical advice, and it takes a message when a caller needs a dentist's judgement.
Is it HIPAA compliant?
We do not make that claim. Use it for scheduling and messages, and keep patient records and clinical details out of its notes.
Will patients know it is not our receptionist?
Yes. Every call starts with a notice that the caller is speaking with a virtual assistant.
What about dental emergencies at night?
Callers describing an emergency are told to call 911. For a problem that can wait until morning, it takes the details and a callback number so your team sees it first.
