How does a 1Digital storefront work with Shopify or BigCommerce?

A 1Digital store plan storefront is hosted on WorkspaceCMS and connected to the client's existing Shopify or BigCommerce store. It reads products, collections, prices and stock live, and shoppers browse, search and add to cart on the storefront, then check out on the store. Checkout, payments, shipping, taxes, customer accounts and order history stay on Shopify or BigCommerce, so nothing is migrated and the store's theme is not modified.

Live store connection questions

Do I need to move my products?
No. Your catalog, customers and order history stay in Shopify or BigCommerce, and the storefront reads them from there.
What about Magento, WooCommerce or a custom platform?
Other platforms are eCommerce Enterprise, from $1,999 a month and quoted after a call.
Will my store apps keep working?
Yes. Subscriptions, marketplaces, cart and order emails and ERP or CRM syncs keep running in your store, because we do not replace it.
What does the storefront read from my store?
Products, collections, prices and stock, live. When you change a product in Shopify or BigCommerce, the storefront shows the change.
Where do my shoppers check out?
On your Shopify or BigCommerce checkout. They browse, search and add to cart on the storefront, then pay on your store, with the payment methods you already use.
Where do I manage my products?
In your Shopify or BigCommerce admin, exactly as you do today. There is no second catalog to keep in sync.
Is this headless commerce?
It gives you what most store owners want from headless without having to run it: we design, host and manage the front end shoppers see, while Shopify or BigCommerce stays the system of record for products, inventory and checkout.
Do you see my orders or customer data?
The connection reads your catalog. Orders and customer accounts stay in your store, and we never see orders unless you choose to turn that on.
Is my Shopify or BigCommerce theme changed?
No. Your theme is not modified or replaced, and nothing in your store's back office has to be rebuilt.
Does it work with Shopify Plus?
Yes. 1Digital® Agency is a Shopify Plus Partner. Checkout, Shopify Payments, Shop Pay and the Plus features you use stay in your Shopify admin.
Does it work with BigCommerce Enterprise?
Yes. 1Digital® Agency is an Elite BigCommerce Partner. Your catalog, price lists, checkout and payments stay in BigCommerce.
Do shipping, taxes and payments change?
No. Shipping rates, taxes, payment methods and order emails keep running in your store, set up the way you already have them.
Can you move my store to another platform?
Replatforming, including moving products, customers, orders and URLs, is scoped under eCommerce Enterprise, from $1,999 a month. The online plans are for stores staying on Shopify or BigCommerce.
What happens to my store if I stop the plan?
Your store stays yours, because your products, orders, customers and checkout were in your own Shopify or BigCommerce account the whole time. The WorkspaceCMS Terms explain what happens to the managed storefront.
