Theme & content build

Will my product variants and custom product fields come over?

Yes. Wix Stores variants, options, custom product fields, ribbons, and modifier groups map to Shopify products + variants + metafields. Where Wix's CSV export drops fields, we pull them via the Wix Stores API. Variant images, swatch metadata, and option ordering preserved. We document every field mapping at discovery.

What about customers — can their accounts move to Shopify?

Yes, but the path is non-obvious. Wix Stores customer accounts can't be exported via the admin UI. We extract them via the Wix Members API or via Velo scripts that walk the members collection. The Shopify accounts are created with first-login password reset (Shopify requirement — passwords can't be migrated in clear text from any platform) and a branded welcome email explains the reset to the customer.

What happens to Velo (Corvid) custom code?

Velo custom code rebuilds as one of: a Shopify App, a Shopify Function (discount / shipping / payment / cart logic), an Online Store 2.0 section + block, or a Hydrogen component depending on what the Velo code does. We audit every Velo file at discovery and propose the cleanest Shopify rebuild before quote. Most Velo customizations are simpler to express on Shopify because the platform exposes more native primitives.

How do you protect SEO equity moving off Wix?

Wix's per-language page-variant approach maps cleanly to Markets' content variant system — the experience for shoppers is materially better.
