What does Shopify Plus B2B Edition include?
Company accounts (one company = many buyers, each with permissions), requisition lists for repeat ordering, B2B price lists (volume tiers, customer-specific catalogs, draft pricing), NET payment terms with invoice and PO workflows, quote-to-cash flows, customer-tagged storefronts so buyers see their own catalog and pricing, and sales-rep dashboards. Native to Plus — no Wholesale Channel app, no third-party wholesale app. We build the catalog data model, configure customer-account permissions, wire NET-terms checkout, and connect ERP for invoice sync.
Markets or expansion stores — how do you decide?
Shopify Markets when you want one storefront with multiple regional contexts (currency, language, tax, duty) and shared catalog and admin. Expansion stores when you need separate domains, separate themes, separate apps, or fundamentally different catalogs per region — Plus gives you up to 10 stores on one subscription. We almost always start with Markets and recommend expansion stores only when regulation, brand separation, or catalog divergence demands it. Bad architecture here is one of the most expensive mistakes on Plus.
What are Shopify Functions and why do they matter on Plus?
Functions are server-side custom logic that runs inside Shopify's own infrastructure — custom discount rules, custom shipping rates, payment method customization, cart and checkout validation. They replaced Checkout Scripts and they're what makes Plus genuinely customizable at the order layer. Bundle discounts that legacy Scripts couldn't handle, geo-restricted payment options, customer-tag-gated shipping, NET-terms enforcement at checkout — all live in Functions written in Rust or JavaScript. We design, build, test, and deploy them.
What is Checkout Extensibility and what can it actually do?
Plus merchants get a customizable checkout that is upgrade-safe — Shopify ships checkout improvements and your customizations keep working. UI extensions place custom components at specific extension points (information page, payment page, post-purchase, Thank-you page, order status). Common builds: post-purchase upsells, age-gate validators, donation widgets, custom delivery instructions, B2B PO number capture, gift-message capture, and conditional fields by customer tag or cart contents. Server-side logic lives in Functions; UI lives in extensions. We do both.
