Previously, the company was working on a WordPress website outfitted with WooCommerce, but needed a more robust, scalable, eCommerce-friendly solution; Shopify. All migrations come with challenges, but in this specific situation, the A&J Cycles had a unique hurdle. In this industry, precise, filtered search for parts by make, model and year are necessary to connect shoppers with parts they need. Because the product tag options were not completely identical between WordPress and Shopify, our migration experts wrote a custom script to ensure that products were accurately assigned in the new store and would populate, appropriately, in response to user searches for compatible parts.
