The questions your competitors win

When an AI answer names a competitor and not you, that question is a gap. Found in AI lists them, with what to publish for each.

Found in AI is our sister company under 1Digital. On a WorkspaceCMS website? It is built into WorkspaceCMS Premium.

The short version: after each scan, Found in AI compares the answers from ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews across your questions. Where a competitor is named and your store is not, or where no store is named at all, it lists the question as a gap and suggests the page, guide or answer that would give your store something to be cited for. You decide what to publish; the next scan shows whether the answers changed.

What a gap shows

Each gap comes with its evidence

Who is winning it

The competitors and websites the answers named or linked for that question, so you know who you are up against.

How many tools agree

Whether one tool or all five leave you out. A gap every tool agrees on is usually the one to work on first.

What to publish

A suggestion for the content that answers the question directly: a buying guide, a comparison, an FAQ or a better product description.

Whether it closed

Gaps stay in your history, so after you publish you can see whether later scans named your store.

Where store owners usually find gaps

Best-of and buying-guide questions

“Best” and “how to choose” questions are where AI answers name brands most often, and where a clear guide helps most.

Comparison questions

“X vs Y” and “alternatives to” questions, which often cite comparison pages and reviews rather than product pages.

Problem questions

Questions about a need, such as boots for wide feet, where a store with a page about that need has something to be cited for.

Trust questions

“Is this store legit” and returns questions, where answers lean on reviews, policies and third-party sites.

AI Visibility: Content gaps - FAQ

Does closing a gap guarantee my store gets named?
No. Publishing a useful page gives the AI tools something to cite, but each tool decides what to say. The scan history shows you whether it worked.
Who writes the content?
You can, using the suggestions. If you would rather we did it, our AI SEO team writes and updates the pages; ask with the form on this page.
What if no store is named for a question?
That is listed too. An open question with no store named is often the easiest place to be the first useful source.
