Custom Design: BC International, which owns the Maximilian brand and is the largest fur company in North America, produces some of the finest and most exclusive fur garments and accessories in the world. Traditionally, BC International relied on retail sales for revenue, but has made significant changes to pursue the opportunities that exist in eCommerce, including but not limited to the ability to reach a broader market and to pursue targeted digital marketing initiatives. For this, they needed a brand new eCommerce storefront.
BC International and its brand, Maximilian, possess unrivaled mystique and sophistication. Producing a newly designed and developed online storefront for their operation would require an equally refined and highly modern aesthetic paired with seamless brand integration to complement their exquisite portfolio of products. Building the website from scratch, 1Digital®’s designers created a new custom homepage with new banners for featuring their fur products prominently and attractively to visitors to their website.
As it was brand new, the website needed category and product pages to be built from the ground up, 1Digital® created category and product pages for BC International that featured the same dignified minimalism of the homepage and the rest of the website. In addition, 1Digital® crafted an About Us page, along with several other content and policy pages, in alignment with the company’s brand strategy. Their new website design was also seamlessly integrated with their social media platforms, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
Advanced Development: Since Maximilian.com is a brand new website and needed to promote the integrity of a well-established brand, BC International partnered with 1Digital® Agency for some advanced development items to create a visually stunning storefront and an enjoyable user experience. A large part of the project was the advanced responsive development that 1Digital® Agency performed for BC International to ensure an enjoyable shopping experience, regardless of the device used to access the website.
As a part of the customizations, 1Digital® Agency developed an image upload feature for the product pages as well as a return form fill page to streamline the return process, which we built into a styled CMS page. 1Digital® also developed “About the Model” sections for the client’s product pages; this feature was designed to give shoppers an impression of how Maximilian’s fur garments would fit them.
1Digital® Agency also implemented Google Analytics codes for tracking information across the client’s new website which prove highly valuable in assessing the effectiveness of digital marketing initiatives and customer behavior. In order to improve the shopping experience for BC International’s customers, 1Digital® configured and implemented Affirm to enable the client to offer financing options to its customers, as well as QuickBooks, so that the client could better manage invoicing and payments.
